Has it really been three weeks since my last recorded weigh in? Wowza! Well, while I did weigh myself each week with the intention of blogging about it, unfortunately I didn’t write it down. I do remember what I weighed in at this past Saturday, but not the weeks before.
Well anyway, here we go: Week 23!
Starting weight: 283.0 pounds
Last week’s weight: 240.0 pounds
Today’s weight: 242.0 pounds
Gain this week of: 2.0 pounds
Total weight loss to date: 41.0 pounds
A gain of 2 pounds….surprisingly, I’m happy I got away with only a 2 pound gain. Like I said yesterday, I got back into a couple of my old habits…eating out too much, eating for convenience, and not tracking my calories. I’m just hoping that there isn’t going to be any delayed reaction as far as weight gain, and that I can take these 2 pounds off this week and get back on a downward trend.
To help me get back in that weight loss pattern, I know that I need to get back on a regular activity schedule. That’s why I joined a fitness challenge for December…”December Go The Distance”! I saw one of my fellow healthy living bloggers, Robby from Fat Girl Vs. World, using the hashtag #DecGTD on Twitter. I went to her blog and found out that it’s a fitness challenge! Each person sets their own goal for how many miles they want to run, walk, bike, run on the elliptical…whatever they choose! There is a challenge spreadsheet on GoogleDocs for us all to keep track of our progress, and also to track water intake and a few other health-related items.
So what goal did I set?
100 miles! I’ll be splitting my time between the treadmill and the stationary bike. 100 miles sounds like a lot, but considering that I can easily ride 10-15 miles on the bike in one sitting, I don’t think it is impossible. I decided to join the challenge late in the day today, and I couldn’t make it to the gym tonight so I’m going to start up tomorrow.
Here’s to Going The Distance!
xoxo,
~Melissa
