After a good night’s sleep, I was ready to rock my second day at the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival!

The morning started off with a light breakfast of fruit and frittata, and a panel discussion with some fantastic bloggers…the ladies behind Kath Eats Real Food, Peas and Thank You, Joy The Baker, Shutterbean, and How Sweet It Is.

Then it was off to some content sessions…I went to the “Beyond Auto Mode” photography session with Ashley from Edible Perspective…

…and the Effective Social Networking session with Irvin of Eat the Love and Stella of The Brave Tart.

Because God knows I need some tips on how to keep up with y’all on Twitter. Seriously.

Then it was time for the Tasting Pavilion! We bused over to the Metreon and hung out with a bazillion food vendors, sampling their delectable products.

And one of the only pictures of me from this weekend:

*Yay* bad use of auto focus. Totally figures.

Then this guy showed up…his name was Tyler Florence. Ever heard of him? Apparently he has a show or five on The Food Network…

…Duh, of COURSE we all know who Tyler Florence is! He made a surprise appearance and signed a few copies of his cookbook for a few very lucky girls. I was too late to get the cookbook, so I just took a few pictures.

And because Tyler didn’t save a cookbook for me, I decided that I am only posting the pictures in which he has an awkward facial expression.

There. Now we’re even, Tyler.

Winking smile

The rain held off until the afternoon…

…and we were able to take a better picture out on the balcony. Here I am with Suki, Alyssa, Courtney, Beth, Cate, and Courtney.

Then after a quick afternoon break (and some traffic trying to get back downtown), it was time for the Gala Dinner.

Tyler graced us with his presence again…

…I enjoyed his cooking demo although I felt it went a tad long.

We missed most of the appetizers because of the bad traffic, but I thoroughly enjoyed dinner!

We started off with a Bibb lettuce salad with honey roasted pears and glazed pecans…

Then came Filet Mignon with Meyer lemon roasted prawns and heirloom carrots, asparagus and a celery root puree.

It was DELICIOUS. I wanted to finish it. I just couldn’t. The only sad moment of the weekend.

Dessert came out and I felt a quiver of anxiety. I was so full!! But how could I not taste these?!?

I took one bite of the sourdough bread pudding in the middle…

Then one bite of the Cowgirl Creamery cheesecake…

And then I polished off the Scharffen Berger chocolate mousse. Definitely my favorite.

And then I promptly rolled myself out of the Grand Hyatt and home for a bout of serious food coma good night’s sleep.

This weekend has been one of the best weekends I have had in a long, long time!
