Home & Garden

Once upon a time, a girl had a bunch of jars. The jars were filled with great things to eat. The kinds of things you store in jars. Like dried beans and rice and nuts and grains.

But the jars that held the dried beans and rice and nuts and grains were old, ugly jars. Like pickle jars and pasta sauce jars and salsa jars. They did the job, but they didn’t match and they didn’t have nice lids. And the girl couldn’t get all of the sticky label stuff off.

So the girl decided that she would get new jars.

Nice jars that matched and had pretty lids. Jars that didn’t have any sticky labels to peel off. Jars that were made especially for storing yummy things.

The girl took each ugly, old jar and poured the dried beans and rice and nuts and grains into new, pretty jars.

All the jars matched. They looked nice. And they were all sealed up nice and tight so the yummy things inside stay fresh.

Now the girl’s shelves look nice and neat. She can easily see all the different yummy things she has to eat, and she’s excited to cook some dried beans and rice and nuts and grains.

And the girl took all of the old, mismatched jars with their ugly lids and sticky labels and she threw them in the recycle bin.

The end.
