Happy Monday, everyone!
Monday is the day that I usually post my weigh in, and I did weigh in…but I left the evidence (my camera’s memory card) in the computer at Mom and Dad’s (after I downloaded some photos I shot for Mom’s fabric shop)…so I’ll just tell you that I gained a couple of pounds last week after a couple of splurges (sushi for lunch one day and a big frozen yogurt one evening) and missing a few workouts.
I’m going to share something much more beautiful today!
One of the best things about spring in the wine country are the fields overflowing with wild mustard in bloom.
When the sun sets, the fields are just on fire! A couple of weeks ago, I was driving down the highway during one such sunset…I pulled over, grabbed my camera, and jumped out of the car. I did some wide shots of the fields—the bare, twisted branches of the oak trees over the sea of yellow flowers—and then I switched to a 70-200mm lens for some makeshift macro shots of the flowers themselves.
I love me some bokeh!
I also love me some fiery sunsets on a warm spring California evening.
It’s just another chance for me to confirm…gain or loss, good day or bad day, I live a totally awesome life.
Hope you had a great weekend!
