Good morning!!! It’s a beautiful Sunday morning here in California, and I’m about to leave the house for my marathon-training walk with S. We have 4 miles scheduled for today! But before I go, I wanted to report on my first weekly weigh-in!!
Let’s just get right to it!
Previous weight: 283.0 pounds
Current weight: 271.0 pounds!
WOOOO!!! Isn’t that AWESOME? I hope you are as excited as I am. TWELVE POUNDS LOST.
Even in our excitement though, there are two things to remember:
A. My previous weight is from two weeks ago, not last week. I didn’t lose 12 pounds in one week. This isn’t reality television.
And B. Most people lose a big chunk of weight in their first week or two of a new weight loss plan, then start to lose smaller numbers thereafter. It’s just your body shedding the extra bloat and responding to the cut calories and better nutrition and water intake.
I lost an average of 6 pounds per week over the two week span, which I’m really happy about. I’m hoping this means that my goal of losing 3.5 pounds per week from now on is ambitious but not overtly unrealistic.
I’ll be checking in later today with my nutrition logs from Thursday, Friday and Saturday and I’ll let you know how my walk went.
