Daily Eats–Wednesday, January 25th

January 25, 2012 · 2 comments

Happy Wednesday! This morning’s breakfast was an exact repeat of yesterday…a cereal bowl with 1/2 cup of Joe’s O’s, 1/2 cup of puffed rice and 1/2 cup of Uncle Sam with 1 cup of red grapes and 1 cup of almond milk. (Breakfast total: 332 calories)

I missed having a morning snack and instead got lunch a little earlier than normal. I had to do some running around on my lunch hour and didn’t have time to prepare something, so I got a black bean burrito from the corner taqueria. It’s hard to tell, of course, what’s exactly in the burrito but I’m estimating it as a flour tortilla about 10" in diameter, maybe about 3/4 cup of black beans and 1 cup of rice, maybe 2 ounces of cheese, 1/3 cup each of salsa and guacamole. The calorie count isn’t pretty–it rounds out at about 1,000 calories–but after eating the whole thing for lunch, I was full until I had a late dinner around 7:30pm. (Lunch total: 1,000 calories)

For dinner, I had a small salad with about 3 cups of romaine lettuce, about 1/4 cup each of shredded carrot and cucumber, about 1/4 cup of sliced avocado and 1-1/2 tbsp of ranch dressing. Alongside that, I had a bowl of vegetable soup, about 1-1/2 cups worth. (Dinner total: 357 calories)

For dessert, I had a Skinny Cow chocolate ice cream bar. It put me a tad over my calorie range for the day, but it was a good sweet treat and kept me from attacking the stash of sweets in Mom & Dad’s pantry while we watched Biggest Loser on the DVR. (Dessert total: 100 calories)

That burrito looks amazing! I got an eVol burrito (never had one, organic – it was on sale and I had a coupon, making it 0.99). I was shocked to find out it was 11 points on WW. Can’t have it this week! Gonna try it for lunch next week. It’s not all awesome with guacamole and stuff though.
