Domaine Carneros

Hello friends! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for a few days…it’s a holiday weekend and with so much to do, time just got away from me! I did get to do something fun a few days ago, though…I took a whole afternoon on Wednesday and drove to Napa to make some deliveries for the office! I love days where I can get out from behind my desk and out into the world!

The day started off kind of cloudy and dreary…it was cool and the low clouds were billowing over the hills as I drove through the Sonoma Valley on my way to Napa.

I grubbed on a Subway veggie sandwich in the car…

The drive is usually really beautiful, but the weather just wasn’t cooperating!

I was still happy to be out of the office, though. I was able to get through all of my deliveries, and by the time I was headed back to Santa Rosa, the sun came out and it was a gorgeous late afternoon!

That’s when I decided that I would stop by one of my absolute favorite wineries in the world for a few quick pictures…this is Domaine Carneros.

It’s an 18th century French chateau inspired winery in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley. these pictures don’t really do it justice…it is a totally breathtaking property.

I just took a few pictures from the parking lot, and didn’t go inside since I was… umm, alone…and since I was basically on a 15 minute break from work! But seriously, if you ever get a chance to stop in, definitely do. I went on a private tour a few years ago through an old job and it is quite the place. The gardens are beautiful and the view of the horizon from the deck is ammmmaaaaaaazzzzzing.

How lucky am I to live in such an amazing place?

Back tomorrow with a weigh in and a 4th of July special dessert! Night!

Oh it looks so gorgeous, you really are lucky to live in such a wonderful place. I can’t wait to tour the wineries when I make it over to that side of the world.
