Goals & Progress
In one of my first blog posts on June 26, 2010, I laid out my 4 big weight-related goals for myself and this journey. The “Goals” page is where I’m keeping track of these goals and my progress in reaching them. Below, you’ll see the original 4 goals in bold type. In between the big 4, I’ve added some mini-goals to keep myself on track and my sense of achievement healthy.
I’ve also added some fitness goals towards the bottom of the page. As I lose weight and become stronger, more fit and more active, I will be working towards being able to confidently consider myself an athlete. Something I’ve always wanted but never thought I would be!

WEIGHT LOSS GOALS!!!
Starting weight: 283 pounds
Mini Goal: Lose 5 pounds, 278 pounds – Achieved 6/27/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 10 pounds, 273 pounds – Achieved 6/27/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 15 pounds, 268 pounds – Achieved 7/3/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 20 pounds, 263 pounds – Achieved 7/25/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 25 pounds, 258 pounds – Achieved 8/1/2010
1. Lose 10% of my (starting) body weight, 283 lbs.
Goal: 255 lbs. - Achieved 8/21/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 30 pounds, 253 pounds – Achieved 8/29/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 35 pounds, 248 pounds – Achieved 10/11/2010
Mini Goal: Lose 40 pounds, 243 pounds – Achieved 10/23/2010

2. Lose another 10% of my body weight.
Goal: 230 lbs. – Achieved 3/9/2011
Mini Goal: Lose 55 pounds, 228 pounds – Achieved 4/3/2011

Mini Goal: Lose 65 pounds, 218 pounds – Achieved 5/29/2011

3. Get out of the 200′s.
Goal: 199 lbs.
Mini Goal: Lose 85 pounds, 198 pounds
Mini Goal: Lose 90 pounds, 193 pounds
Mini Goal: Lose 95 pounds, 188 pounds
Not-So-Mini Goal: Lose 100 pounds, 183 pounds
4. Get within the healthy weight range for my height and frame (BMI under 25).
Goal: 180 lbs.
Then we’ll see where I go from here!
