Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend…mine has been really busy but good.
Last night after my blog post (and after I purchased a lottery ticket, as promised, which unfortunately was not a winner), I jumped in the car and headed out to Sonoma for our big company dinner.
On the way, I stopped at the strawberry stand in Kenwood.
They have the *best* strawberries I’ve ever had. They’re so sweet…AND locally grown AND pesticide free! I bought a half flat to share with Mom. I also got a basket of cherries to try.
I love wine country drives in the spring and summer!
Winding roads, a canopy of trees, vineyards as far as the eye can see. Beautiful!
The vineyards are waking up! Hopefully it’s going to be a warm summer!
When I got to dinner, I mingled with the crowd a bit and met some of the new physicians that are coming to work for our medical group. Then we sat down to dinner.
Now, pardon the terrible iPhone photos taken in a dimly lit room…but I couldn’t bring myself to pull out my real camera at a fancy work function. My coworker looked at me quizzically when I pulled out my phone, but I just pretended I was texting or something. Equally rude behavior, but I didn’t want to have to explain why I’m photographing my food to people who don’t know that I blog.
ANYWAY.
For our salad, we had a delicious mixed green and pear salad with a fig vinaigrette. On the side there was a slice of brie on a piece of toast (whatever the fancy name for that is!)
For my dinner, I had the filet mignon. It’s usually a safer choice than the fish, although at a restaurant this fancy, they rarely screw it up.
The filet came with some baby potatoes and veggies.
Mmmmm!
Dessert was a small slice of sheet cake…white cake with whipped cream filling and fresh strawberries. I didn’t take a picture, but it was a perfect little treat!
Today I spent the whole day at our Active 20-30 rummage sale. It was a successful sale and a total carbfest…I grabbed a blueberry bagel with cream cheese on my way there, and then had two slices of cheese pizza for lunch. Dinner was half of a veggie burrito.
And now I’m sitting here blogging, eating a Weight Watchers ice cream bar, and watching this crazy show on feederism…a sexual fetish that involves one partner feeding the other to encourage weight gain to the point of immobility and total dependence. Apparently this is a turn-on for some people? It’s totally blowing my mind!! Maybe because it’s the polar opposite of my mindset and goals…losing weight in order to be fit, healthy, and happy and confident. Although this 600 pound woman seems pretty damn confident.
Wowza.
Well I hope you all had a great weekend! I’ll be back later with my weekly weigh in results!

YUM! Looks like an awesome dinner!
I’ve seen shows about feederism. It’s such a weird concept to me though.
Oh, totally a weird concept to me too! My mind couldn’t get wrapped around a person wanting to weigh 1,000 pounds (her goal weight)…I try not to judge anyone, but no matter how you slice it, any human at that weight is unhealthy.
